ROLE SUMMARYWorks under the supervision of the Cardiac Services Clinical Manager/MD. Role includes but not limited to assisting with all non-invasive and invasive diagnostic and interventional cath pacer and EP procedures.nbspAble to meet all performance standards in scrub monitor and circulating positions.Performs duties associated with Cath lab proceduresCORE RESPONSIBILITIES1.nbspnbspnbspSupports and models behaviors consistent with the mission and philosophy of CRMC and department/service.2.nbspnbspnbspMonitors patients throughout non-invasive and invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. Responsible for identifying changes in patient’s rhythm and hemodynamic status. Responsible for accurate and thorough data collection measurement and calculations. May perform angiographic analysis.3.nbspnbspnbspAssess monitor and administer conscious sedation according to hospital protocol.nbsp4.nbspnbspnbspDelegates job specific duties as required.5.nbspnbspnbspAccurately assess and record patient hemodynamic informationDEPARTMENT SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES CARDIOVASCULAR: nbspScrub assistant to the physician. Sets up and maintains the sterile field as well as arterial and venous lines. Assists in catheter/wire manipulation injects coronary arteries for the visualization of cardiac anatomy along with procedural supply preparation.nbspOperates x-ray equipment balancing quality imaging with radiation safety. Able to function independently with hemodynamic monitoring equipment which includes operations troubleshooting and calibration. Completes patient charges. May be responsible to communicate with nursing units OR and patient’s families but only as directed under the supervision of MD and Cardiovascular Clinical Manager.nbspnbspResponsible for documentation of any equipment problems during the procedure and notify the appropriate contact.nbspNON-INVASIVE: Assists with all non-invasive diagnostic procedures to include exercise treadmills stress echo nuclear stress testing Dobutamine stress tests TEE and Tilt table procedures.nbspAble to function independently with hemodynamic monitoring equipment and Marquette treadmill equipment which includes operations troubleshooting and calibration. May be responsible to communicate with nursing units OR and patient’s families but only as directed under the supervision of MD and Cardiovascular Clinical Manager.nbspnbspResponsible for documentation of any equipment problems during the procedure and notify the appropriate contact.nbspTriage of patients utilizing Appropriate Use criteria for non invasive procedures.nbspOrganize daily workflow.HOLD ROOM: nbspConducts groin assessments cardioversions transesophogeal echocardiograms and other non-invasive procedures.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this job.nbspThey are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities duties and skills required of personnel so classified and employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspEstablish and maintain relationships conducive to collaborative team approach.·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspKnowledge of all cardiovascular procedural equipment and ability to troubleshoot any problems that may arise·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspKnowledge of radiologic equipment and radiation safety·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspFunctions at a high level of competency with minimal supervision from Cardiovascular Clinical Manager/MDMINIMUM HIRING REQUIREMENTS·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspCurrent Wyoming Registered Nurse License or enhanced Nurse Licensure eNLC·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspAssociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspTwo years of RN experience in acute care or ambulatory setting·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspAHA BLS·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspAHA ACLSnbsp

Shift: weekdays 7a-5p and taking calls

Shift Length: 10 Hours

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS
