Klickitat Valley Health is now seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care team. KVH is a rural, critical access, public hospital district located in scenic Goldendale, Washington only two hours from Portland along the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge. The KVH care team of approximately 200 staff members considers it an honor to offer high quality healthcare to our friends, family and neighbors. Goldendale, population 3, 500, is nestled among the rolling Simcoe Hills with gorgeous views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. Hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, skiing, kayaking, and windsurfing are world-class with the Columbia River and untouched wilderness just minutes away. Locals enjoy the cultural offerings of Hood River and Portland, as well as the dozens of wineries that dot the landscape throughout the Columbia River Gorge. The MedSurg department consists of medical and transitional care beds with an average census of 5-7. Care is managed by 24/7 Hospitalists.

This position is eligible for the full-time benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Rx, Long and Short Term Disability, Life Insurance, generous Paid Time Off and Retirement contribution.

A sign on bonus of $2, 000 - $6, 000 DOE plus relocation is offered with this position.

The Medical/Surgical (MS) RN provides direct and indirect nursing care in a medical-surgical setting as defined by the Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse {Nursing Practice Act (RCW 18.79.010-18.79.902)}. The RN is an important member of the healthcare team and works collaboratively with the other members of the care team to provide optimal outcomes for our patients in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion. The RN demonstrates excellence in customer service during interactions with employees, managers/supervisors, providers, patients and patient family members, etc. The role of the RN includes, but is not limited to: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients’ status, plan of care and goal achievement. The RN will be oriented and float to other departments as necessary. The RN is aware of the potential exposure to internal and external hazardous materials, including but not limited to: blood and blood borne pathogens, infectious/communicable diseases and potential physical injury while caring for patients. Maintains a safe and clean environment for the care of the patients.

 

Compensation $50, 000 - $80, 000 Annually
